Information About NASEN Membership
NASEN membership is in (3) three category;
(A) Board of Trustees members
(B) Executive members
(C) Ordinary members
Board of Trustee members are essentially an advisory body made up of mainly foundation members, who will be referred to as elders of NASEN.
Executive members are those who have powers conferred on them by the BoT to act or carry out polices/laws as the case may be, including management aiming at achieving the aim of the organization.
Those who form the executive (Representative of professional associations, unions, cooperatives, etc
and the management board).
Management board are the employee of the organization; National Association of Self Employed Nigerians (NASEN).
Ordinary members are the identity holders of NASEN who are expected to adhere to polices, rules and
regulations of NASEN, and in line with NASEN policy with the aim of achieving their individual goals.
NASEN Leadership structure will be seen as the three tiers of government.
(A) National; with its headquarters in Abuja
(B) State; with its state secretariats located in state capitals
(C) Area councils/LGA; with its office located anywhere weeding the area council/LGA
Intending members/card holders are expected to pick up forms from NASEN office close to them
Individuals are admitted into NASEN through registration as well as affiliated associations upon a fee of #1000 and #2000 respectively.
NASEN has two types of identification; ordinary identification and Social security Identification.
The ordinary identification card is the first stage of identification that makes one a member, while such a person works towards meeting the criteria for obtaining the social security identity card.
Social Security Identity Card:
Social security identity card (is a means of identification with embedded security checks that will make it amenable to computer use) this identity serves three purposes
- Identification purpose
- Financial transaction
